Test Driving Gmail's new features

Google has introduced a new Labs section to Gmail allowing users to try out new featuresz before they are officially incorporated according to Ars Technica.

The features are released in Google Labs ("Google technological Playground"). Products that have graduated fromt the Labs include Google Maps and Google Reader.
