Google Pages is closing.

Its a nice page builder site. They have made a newer site builder but is not as flexable and is very diffucult to use.

Well, I guess the presence of blogger and the recently introduced Knol means that page creator is no longer needed.

I still liked google pages alot it is very easy to use and they do not place ANY ads on your page its a free service they provide. Now the new hosting offers they have might add ads to your site

Bummer...

Trust me google makes enough money. Especailly as one of the top .com companies in the world.

Change of this sort is usually related to a financial concern. Whether to save money or make more money. Usually both.

As to the effectiveness time will tell. That will all come out in the wash. If people complain about the changes and it effects the reason for changing they will tweak it until the majority is happy.

Also sometime we whine about change out of comfort with a previous routine. And in the end we concede that the change was for the better.

Well there new project is: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] < thats why they are closing googlepages. Google sites sucks compared to googlepages.

I am now using [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] they are very limited and dont even allow the simple textbox or i-frames. Specificlly becuase they want you to use their gagets.

tbh. there is no hope for googlepages. I have complained along with almost everyone in google pages forum. The admin has made it clear and there is no going back for this one.
