Torner is an unknown quantity at this point
Arrow Google Analytics - dodgy stats

The awstats in my CPANEL shows I have lots more traffic than google analytics. Which do I beleive??
Also I have implemented a banner impression counter on my site and the impressions. When checked against adsense the impressions counted for adsense are no where near as many as my other banners have between them. (there is an adsense box on every page where there is banner rotation)
Thanks god google isn't a cpm based ad scheme thats all I can say.

Ya thats true. Same thing ith me too. Its basically cos google considers unique visits. And the index page counter on your site would count hits and not visitors. But those hits look good to see. May be some one thinks that the site has so manny visitors

But AW stats also shows unique visits and total hits aswell. The unique hits should be somewhere near to adsense stat.

I also notice that this happens when I make a comparison between Analytics and Adsense and CPanel impressions. Can't really make out at times which one is actually real. If only we know how the stats figure came about.

Actually all are correct. The difference is only in the counting way or method. Like for example. Google counts unique impressions and cPanel you can get the uniue impressions, hits, visits. The unique impressions in cPanel would be somewhat similar to that in adsense?

I also observed that it also depends on the time zone. Like adsense considers the US time as an standard but my hosting provider being from my country considers IST. So the difference can be noted.

Uh, ok. So the time zone is also one of the factors. Yeah, you are right on this. I think I'll try not to confuse myself and instead reply only on one source to track by concentrating on analytics.
