Yahoo Auctions will cease operations on 6 Oct 08.

This is similar to a recent eBay move to emphasize fixed prices over bidding by tweaking the fee structure.

This is just like when yahoo closed yahoo images. Yahoo needs to stay focused on its most successfull websites. So I expect more deaths of yahoo sites to come soon.
