How will Yahoo Directory listing affect Google PR?

Does it mean that getting listed in Yahoo Directory will improve on your PR? Since Google and Yahoo are competitors, Google will not place an importance towards the standard set by Yahoo and even listing in Yahoo Directory as well. What do others think?

I think they will have some effect somehow. After all, being listed on Yahoo should be good unless you paid for the listing. I am not sure if Yahoo offers free listing at the moment.

No i dont think that would have any effect on Google PR and may be google would not like to consider it too cos after all its a paid link.

But rather i think it would really have a great impact on Yahoo Search and the traffic originating from the search as well as the directory.

I think it way affect the directory in Google, but only a little bit. Not just because this two companies are competitors, but I guess Yahoo is using a different standard, different system, and of course different cost. It's not about the money, but I don't really believe that Yahoo is effective

Yeah, I also believe it will have little effect but as mentioned before by life31, it's a paid link, so according to Google's policy, they will not place importance on sites involved in buying links.
