How to get listed in DMOZ ??????

Getting your site or domain listed in DMOZ is an added previlage i suppose. I have noiced people buying domains having a link in DMOZ.

But till today i never understood how to get indexed in it. Can any one help me with it?? How can i get my site listed in it????

i had some small problems too until i found how to add my websites in DMOZ but it's pretty easy. Just choose your desired category and after that you will have on top a link that says: "Suggest URL". click it, write website's URL, title and description, write your email and that code, and click "Submit". It takes a while until you will receive confirmation, but in 1-2 weeks your website will be added.

I tried many times to get listed in DMOZ. After so many time of wasted in attempt with no result, I finally gave up. Many different editors/members suggested how it should be done but no way I got listed. Now, even without getting listed in DMOZ, I am getting decent traffic and I am happy about it. Also getting listed in DMOZ is not that very big deal, there are other ways to get link worth as in DMOZ now-a-days. Cheers

Seems that I'm facing the same problem as well. It has already been 2 weeks since I submit my site to get them to list it on their directory. Haven't heard any news until today. Does that mean they will only consider sites having a certain PR requirement before they will list them?

I dont think dmoz only accepts PR websites. I have seen some Low PR liek PR1 or 2 getting listed in them. I have few websites/blogs which are PR4 and didnt get listed. Anyways, like I said, I gave up DMOZ.

With the quality of links being accepted into DMOZ dropping and some editors taking to extortion and bribes. It is really hard to getting listed on DMOZ. I even feel that it is not worth all the effort to get listed anymore.

Yes I have seen somewhere in forums that some or if as many editors are corrupted. They take hard cash to get listed someone's website in DMOZ. And I also agree it is not worth to get listed in DMOZ anymore.

Well this is a common facts discussed in many forums as well saying that the editors are corrupted. It's very tempting to say that because basically the whole programs are run by volunteers. The decisions are often questioned to be biased and often looked as inefficient. In fact, there are also rumors of inner bickering within DMOZs ranks.

I submited my site to to DMOZ over a year ago, I've never heard anything or had my site listed. I've never seen anybody selling access, but I have heard that if you get found out you get kicked out of the listing,

I know how you feel there, I submitted my site(s) last year and still havent heard a peep out of them, I have attempted to contact but nothing, Ive given up on ever getting listed there which is a shame because my other (old) sites have been listed and I got a lot of hits from it

Well the same problem with me here. I've never bother about DMOZ anymore. There are better directories out there and mostly probably the way things are going around with DMOZ, one day they will just become forgotten.
