Default Has anybody ever tried contacting DMOZ?

Does anybody ever tried contacting DMOZ or do you know how to contact them? Seems like I cannot find a link to their support team or editor. Well so much of being user friendly. Until today, I still haven't got my site listed yet and I doubt with that they even have time to provide support.

lol..same happened with me too.I submitted my blogs to them and thought they will be listing them in 3-4 months..but till now they haven't included them in their directory.Their average time for accepting submissions is 5-7 months and can be more. You can contact them using the contact info they provide in the footer of the site. But, I am not sure how user friendly their communication service is!I have never tried contacting them for the same reason. But it never hurts you see,as they provide free submission to their vast directory..

Yeah, I think they will just ignore it, just like any websites/blog submission to them for consideration. Really disappointed with them
I'm sure there are some people who waited for a long time only to learn that their submission has been rejected. Just wonder how long DMOZ can last with that kind of going on.

So far DMOZ seems to be continuing on even though it is not easy to contact them and not easy to get listed. Yes you can wait for months thinking the site might get listed only to realize that it never has. I don't even bother with it anymore.

I just don't understand. Why can't they just get more editors. Anyway it's a free non profit organization so getting a volunteer should not be too hard. I would volunteer to be one
At least having more people around would improve on the level of service.

I tried to become their volunteer, but they never replied back! I have come to the point that it's a waste of time to keep hoping that one day DMOZ will have my site's name registered for public view.

Strange, I applied to be a volunteer for their directory but they denied me, and contacted me about it. You can always try emails to contact them, try contacting them at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or something like that, it might work.

You should consider yourself lucky that they contacted you. Well like I mentioned before whether your site gets accepted or not, at least DMOZ staff should let us know. At the moments never ever any news from them after submission.

I have tried contacting them before but because of the amount of e-mails they get it must almost be impossible to shift the backlog of sites they need to sort out.

Gotta leave off of them really lol.

Yeah, the fact that the org is being run by volunteers. Geee...why don't they just recruit more editors. That could sure help out and bring back again their credibility. I wouldn't mind becoming a volunteer editors but of course if they want me as well
