New search engine in town - Wikia Search

Hi, guys, maybe you want to try this one. It's an open source search engine from the makers of Wikipedia launched just on January this year. Still in the development and improvement stage, maybe a potential to challenge with Google in the future. It's rather slow somehow to me. Anyone has any feedback?

I never heard about this one. Looks like its have relationship with wikipedia. Looks good. Hope many eppole will use it.

Looks like when I ask around, people mentioned that it's not that good anyway. After trying it myself, I notice the search results are quite poor and most of the time not relevant. I tried it a few times but I think there are just too much expectations from it.

Just looked over it, its a funky little search engine just hope they can get it out their with the big boys and make a name for it (but with wiki behind it I see it going a VERY long way)

Yeah, looks can be deceiving. Anyway it really doesn't deliver as per expectation. Did you try it? Kind of slow to me.

I already try. Not really slow. I think its still fast. But not many info and input i got when i search using this search engine.

Wikia search? Not as complete as the other big search engine, but I guess it's pretty good. The design is ok, but they can make it more simple and unique. They have a good reputation for such a new comer

Yeah, nothing much you could expect from being new. Not that new actually because it read the search engine has been around for a couple of months. Just give them change and see their progress.

I think it is good. I like new things. The search engine is like google. No graphics and images like yahoo which is a lot.

I'll be checking back on the website often to see if there's any changes or update. I hope they can improve the search engine further.

Same with me. I also like new thing. NOthing wrong if we give a try right to this search engine. WHo know one day this search engine will beat google.
