LOL....you really did that? I wish there's always an option to return to the previous OS and getting a refund. How about customer complaint sheet? How come I never came across such service for the operating system that I've used before

Well seems like most of the time, we really do not have a choice. However, I just wonder, as in your case, whereby you are most of the time dealing with multimedia software, wouldn't it be more advantageous if you have a Mac instead? That's what most designers are preferring to use.

For me I will get a MAC eventually. I just haven't been able to afford it yet.
The funy thing with buying a MAC. When I do it, I want to get the whole enchilada. I don't want to skimp on the MAC purchase or it will defeat the purpose. I mean just getting the cheapest MAC out there will not justify the cost compared to the upgrade.

Exactly. I mean Apple is really missing the boat here I think.
But its not like they aren't making money I suppose. But if they offered a really good product at a decent place they could make a dent on the market. I mean Windows is sloppy I think compared to Apple but for the money, Windows is plenty good enough.

Absolutely but I meant they should offer a more reasonably priced line of products to blow Microsoft out of the "window"! LOL
I think part of the problem is perception. It's like BMW isn't going to offer there eltie products at Ford Focus prices.

Yeah, you are right. You offer different range of product line. Those that cater for lower end market and those for premium ones. Those who managed to grab the lower end machine will eventually get impressed with it and later decided to upgrade. Still this way, they can maintain brand recognition because you are offering different models to capture the market.

Exactly. And I believe Apple could do more than they are doing.
But I guess it is all they want to do. Maybe they are okay with what they are and what they do. Anybody and everbody knows they make great stuff. Maybe that is part of what they set out to accomplish. I mean Stevie Jobs doesn't have Bill Gates money but I am sure he has a nice income.

Hmm! probably they are up to maintaining uniqueness of their products. Something like things which every one owns are not considered special. May be thats y they are keeping their price tag very high targeting only the high end and professional clients.

Seems that way. Just like very few people own a Bentley. And they are concerned that there are a zillion more Honda's on the road.
And again it's not like they aren't making money. Plus they seem to have a big piece of the MP3/Digital player world going for them also.

Personally I think that windows7 make only for professionals, It's very advance than its old version. I use it some and than I relished that window XP is good for me.

Just to update you guys. One of my closest friend actually provided the courtesy to lend me one of his laptop powered by an core i5 processor running on windows 7 and I can tell you it's superb. It's only just for few hours to play warcraft and I can tell you it's flawless. The system is so stable and responsive. Even created a thread asking about the core i5 because that really interests me.

Hey the i core line of processor is very new and gaining fast popularity. Ive heard that they are too good.

In fact the reason he told me why he chose to have the upgrade is because there's core i5. Actually bought the laptop for about 800 which I think is pretty worth the price.
