Vista vs XP

It's true Windows Vista still has a lot of bugs, but i'm using it because it's graphic interface is much better than in Windows XP. it's true i've got Vista Ultimate with all cool features and gadgets, but ... i'm waiting for first service packs. Anyway, i've seen many people that are dissapointed of Vista and they still use Windows XP. What is your opinion and what are you using?

Yes, the graphics are great.
The main problem I found is the compatibility issue. There are many good programs out there that are not Vista compatible yet.
Not everyone has the resources to update their sofware every time Microsoft comes up with a new OS.
Let's see how long it takes until they release a new one.
Don't you have the feeling that it's all about the money?

I think they could have done better with it and yes, it's always about the money. More service packs and upgrading programs launched, more money for bill gates and the company. Anyway, it's not too nice that Vista doesn't work on computers with less than 512 MB RAM. I've got a laptop with 256 and i can't install Vista on it.

Not to mention the IT guys trying to keep up with their studies and certifications.
We have to upgrade every time there is a new OS. Needless to say that it costs us some $$$ of course

I not really into vista tried it in my system it ha s good graphic and everything but there are to many compatibility issues and i can't afford to change all our hardware and buy something that will comply to vista, so i still go back to xp.

I will still stick to XP for the moment until I have enough money to get hardware upgrade. My office computers were installed with Vista and the performance has really degraded and the program execution seems to slow down a bit. Vista may look nice but if you have super fast computer, then that would be great.

Yes. VIsta still have some bugs and i think its fine. They will fix it soon. Right now i'm fine with vista. But i believe i will use vista next time. As long as my PC already upgrade and i have money, i will change it to vista!

I am using XP right now. I have heard many bad things about Vista with bugs and other stuff but that is how it is with all new systems so give a year or 2 and it should be alot better. I would put vista on my comp now but I think it will slow it down. So the next comp I will get will more than likely have vista.

No i never used VISTA till now. Still with XP SP3. It does have some of the features of vista i suppose.

Latest news is that Vista is getting dumped and Vienna is coming out. Just cant imagine what it could be like. Expect it to be packed with lots of new features and free from the bugs Vista has in it.

But i believe you will use that after vista not have problem or anymore bugs. People not really like it because Vista still have bug today. I also not like it. But i know i will use vista for my PC soon. After that Vista complete..

I too will use vista once the bugs thats on it is already fixed by microsoft because it is like a replica of mac just my 2 cents worth.

If you have small RAM and space in your computer, no wonder Vista looks slow in your PC. If you have big RAm and space, i believe your vista will fast.

There are still a lot of compatibility issues with other programs until today. I tried to install some of my older games in Vista but it just won't install properly. Even the same comments were shared among my office colleagues as well. Other than look nice, I don't see any other major improvements.
