I do really hope Microsoft can this time really makes things work. Hopefully this just doesn't turn out to be another flop. Let's see how's the progress and on-going development.

I wonder, would it not be more sensible to sort out IE7 and it's bugs, problems and deficciencies before they try and start IE8? You can just hear the collective moan of the general public, "Oh joy.. yet another unfinished browser""
What's actualyl changed in IE8 then?:P

I thinks thats a wise step by Microsoft. If you see that IE7 is almost dumped by most of the people.

And even if Microsoft tries and removes the bugs and the shortcomings there i dont think any of the people would be intrested to use it again.

But rather if Microsoft says that they have dumped IE7 and removed all the bugs and created IE8 there would be large numbver of people who whould be intrested in using it.

Microsoft really has issue convincing people to use IE. Unless they make a significant improvement, in years to come, we might see almost everybody switching away using other browsers. In fact looking back at history Microsoft actually screwed up every new IE launch and some with serious security flaws. Hope they make it better this time around.

It's great that Microsoft is choosing to help web developers and web users collectively. Hopefully sites will be much faster and easier to develop across the many browsers now that IE has joined the game.
