Default Microsoft stops XP sales

It is official and final - no more sale of XP to major computer makers.

The biggest insult to customers who wanted XP is to have to buy Vista and then legally downgrade to XP.

This is the height of absurdity

The only way to get XP now is by downgrading a vista copy, but it STILL costs money to do that

Well, as a user looks like we don't have a choice. You can either keep on shouting or another way, boycott Microsoft products which I think the first option is more like it....

Trust microsoft to go ahead and force things on the consumer. To them a good choice is, no choice! First they pushed the manufacturers into preloading vista and didn't give a provision for sound drivers if you wanted to downgrade it to XP. Now its like, we're snatching away your favourite toy and replacing it with a malfunctional, yet updated one. Its time to shift to linux I think.
