Anyway the money does not belong to one single person. It is own by investors and decisions are controlled by board members. Whether they decide to sell it very much depends on collective agreement between them. The board members are usually made up of biggest stakeholders.

I would say its alot of money for the take over but Yahoo will get them closer to being the number 1 SE(s). The money would be split and given as a golden handshake to the board of directors for Yahoo which will have them living the high life (more so) and never have to work again.

If I was them I would say yes! lol

Haha. Might be. I will put that money at some bank and invest it again and again. At least my son will have money when i die..

If I'm the CEO, I would absolutely take that offer! Not everyday you get such a big offer. And I'm sure microsoft can handle this webmail and search engine company.

Yap. That will help about hotmail if they merge together. ITs really a big help to microsoft if Yahoo accept the offer..

The real question you need to ask yourself is "do I really want Microsoft to own another massive company?" lol. Its all one big con if you ask me...

Yeah you are right to say that. If microsoft takes over everything, it might look pretty awkward to go anywhere and just see the windows logo. Competition would die out and there will be absolute dominance by 1 single company. Consumers like us would have no chance to dictate terms and condition. Just like what we are seeing in OS.

Windows will always been number 1 but whilst Linux runs around freely they will be struggling to release something was good as linux (I say that because its more stable and its open source!)
