what could yahoo do

Google seems to pretty much be the kind of Search engines. What do you think Yahoo could do to get up there more with Google and to be more competitive?

Hmmm...not sure about this. Let's see whether the Microsoft takeover plan will materialize and then I'm sure a lot of things will change. Just imagine Yahoo to be integrated to existing MSN or the other way round

Hehe. I also heard that news. Microsoft try to buy Yahoo. Its really rumors or a truth? I also cannot imagine if its really happen.

By the way i think that was truth. But also feel that its not gonna happen.
And even if it happens i dont think MSN will try integrating MSN and Yahoo together. They would most probably work individually.

Previously Google was no 1, followed by Yahoo at number 2 and then MSN. With both the second raters combined together, there's a possibility that once the resources are pooled together, they might be able to challenge Google dominance. It's possible.

Why does MSN want to buy Yahoo? Are they hoping to do better by joining forces or do they have other bigger plans? I am curious.

What happen to all worker at Yahoo? Did most of them will merged together if thats really happen?

It's strategic alliance, something like both helping each other. The main reason actually is because Yahoo has been hit by their share dropping tremendously lately due to the downturn. Microsoft is just taking advantage of this and offered below market value for acquisition of the shares. Strategically it benefits Microsoft more that Yahoo.

I see. Microsoft just try their luck and see the advantages. Nothing wrong with that. But i believe Yahoo will decline that offer.

I think Yahoo has a chance to improve further on their search engine business. Not necessarily that the takeover plan of Yahoo will make it better. If they focus on it and work out something, they could avoid the takeover in the first place.

Maybe and i believe yahoo already do they best. Just Microsoft just want to give a try to take over Yahoo. If they really can get Yahoo, i believe Google will do something like that..

Now after some days it seems like the rumors in the air have almost setteled down and no more news from either parties nor any media.

Seems like that was just the media who were more intrested in that deal rather than Yahoo and MSN
