No search?
Hi we have been working on the site now for about 3 years and still can't seem to get indexed for any popular search terms in yahoo any advice that doesn't cost money that I can do to help?

Did you submit your sites to yahoo webmasters tools? That's strange... Usually if you managed to get ranking with google, yahoo will come automatically albeit a little bit later.

Oh my god!! 3yrs is too long time to wait and watch. There should certainly be something wrong with your site.

Usually the notion is that if you rank well in google for a keyword, you will not likely rank the same with Yahoo. Same goes vice versa.

Till date yahoo hasn't bought me any resonable traffic. Almost get around 500 to 600 visitors from Google but yahoo hardly touches 70 to 80. And that isant my fault either cos if you are getting it from google then certainly it should come from yahoo too. So its their job to look out where they lack.

The problem is that until today I do not exactly know what yahoo has been placing emphasis on how to rank on their search engine. But anywhere it will still appear somewhere but not high ranking.

I am also wondering how to get ranked on yahoo.........i have heard that if you are optimizing for google......yahoo and MSN will follow you there automatically.........not sure if it is the case anymore..

Well usually it's the opposite. If you type a particular keyword and the site that appears in the search result and you compare it with the one presented by yahoo. It's very rare that you will find sites that are placed on top of google is also ranking well on yahoo.
