Google-Yahoo Partnership

Eager to frustrate Microsoft's attempt to takeover Yahoo in any ways possible, Google has agreed to help Yahoo by participating in an unusual test that will gauge how miuch advertising Google can sell for Yahoo, its struggling rival.

Talk about strange bedfellows! But the numbers will be interesting to watch.

Not late but may be e hear to something which says that both have joined hands.

May be something like [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] this which would actually be owned by them sooner or later

Hmmm....don't know whether that's a good idea or somehow have a bad feeling about this. If that's the case, then Google will always have to power to dictate what they want.

Most probably that should be the case as Google is very very powerful and advanced as compared to Yahoo.

But may be if they are looking in terms of businss then they wont mind cos its for sure that no one else has the ability to challange them in that case

That was the basic thinking and stratergy of Microsoft too most probably "Unity"

Geee..I hope that doesn't turn into oppression or total dominance. When they become too powerful, there won't be much competition around to see improved services.

Lets keep our fingers crossed and see how this strange google-yahoo relationship and little experiment will pan out. Who knows, there may be some fascinating insights enveiled later on.

Ehm, what i know. Yahoo will use google adsense in their site again like before. right?

Not sure what final form of co-operation framwork will take but I guess it will incorporate both yahoo and google elements. Hopefully the partnership will be enjoy best of both worlds.

If this happend you know that in the end google would completely buy out yahoo but keep it branded as yahoo (owned by google), would be such a kick to microsoft but saying that unless google release a good OS then Microsoft still sits on top of the world

It would tragic for Yahoo if Google is eating up Yahoo; Yahoo is just going from the fire (Microsoft)straight into frying pan (Google).

Not really, in the end its a Name, the company behind it are only after money, Google again, only thing that matters is if they KEEP yahoo the way it is and keep the people who work on it in their jobs then everything will be ok.

They wouldnt change Yahoo at all really (maybe one or two logo changes) because it would actually lose them money

Its crazy and biggest tragic in this year if google really eat Yahoo. Yahoo already in crazy situation right now with microsoft and Google want to do something like that? Hoho..its really worst year for Yahoo.

I agree, better to let Microsoft eat up Yahoo than google - at least there will be 2 strong internet competitors than one.
