I don't know about the deail. But i believe must be the amount deal is big. If not, the youtube owner will never sold his site. I know he earn BIG from adsense at youtube site..

Yes of course it had a good potensial for adsense earning. So its like win win situation for google too. They no more need to pay those adsense earning as its theirs now.

I think google is very much in profit buying this site

I think google not earn from that. But they earn from advertising and traffic.

Yeah if I'm not mistaken the founders Steve Chen and Chad Hurley are millionaires by now. As I know, the deal does not only involve cash but google shares as well. Wow.

Oh wow You mean it bought them not only cash but also google shares???

That would have been the most intellegnt deal ever. Really intelligent guys there. In that case they would be earning quite more than the expected price.

Owning those shares is much precious. They have made themeselves secure not only for today but tomorow also

Most people would have taken cash and for those smart ones, they will take shares instead so that it will grow even more some day. It's like endless stream of cash.

Then you need to have something fresh and new which google may be interested in buying. Any new ideas? Video sharing is definitely out since they already have it.

Ehm, something new? Maybe you can do something like mybloglog and you need to compete it first. Then, i believe google will buy it to compete with Yahoo. Its because yahoo buy mybloglog right?

Ya that would be one option. Or may be something like gaming portal or arcade or online gaming which yahoo does have but google has nothing connected to games.

They have social networking, chats, now videos, blogs i can see only that gaming left

Yeah, games. That would be a good one. But I think it's too late to go into that right now since there are so many existing around. Plus you have to get a programmer to design the games for you
