Question What's the meaning of "Google Dance"

I come across this phrase once in while when browsing through the net. Can anybody help to explain what's the term actually mean? Any special meaning?

Google tool, that's strange. I thought it was something related to their algorithm. Never mind thanks anyway. I'll keep looking around for answers for this.

Found the definition of google dance (please note I have copied this from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Quote:
During the month, Google sends out robots (spiders) to crawl the web and archive every website it finds. These archived websites will be presented in the next update of the Google index (database). The update process is initiated every 30 days or so, although on some occasions there have been more than 30 days between updates. Now if you've been a keen Google fan you'll know that they have 3 main www servers online, which are as follows:
www.google.com - The main address, the true homepage of google.
www2.google.com - Thought to be a test server.
www3.google.com - Thought to be a test server.

Whilst nobody outside of "Google" truly seems to know the purpose of the www2 & www3 servers, many people have come to the assumption that they are test servers. During the update, which takes several days, the 3 Google servers display different results. Whilst the results vary from server to server, they are said to be "dancing", hence the name "Google Dance".

Hey this is interesting. All the while I thought it's just some SEO related things. Well the statement actually managed to explain in details. Looks like it's somekind of lapse in their servers.

The name "Google Dance" is often used to describe the index update of the Google search engine. Google's index update occurs on average once per month. It can be identified by significant movement in search results and especially by Google's cache of all indexed pages reflecting the status of Google's last spidering. But the update does not proceed as a switch from one index to another at one point in time. In fact, it takes several days to complete the index update. During this period, the old and the new index alternate on google. At an early stage, the results from the new index occur sporadically. But later on, they appear more frequently. Google dances.

Google ha many indices across the globe. For example google.com, google.co.in, google.de, google.co.uk... Once in a while (normally every 3 months or so), Google collects all the cache from all the different google sites, and re-indexes itself. At that time, with the help of a tool which displays any 3 of the above mentioned google sites (all different ones), shows difference in the rankings for a given keyword or keyphrase. It is said that the Goggle has begun its Dance! Other times, all the google sites show the same ranking for a given keyword/keyphrase. This time of reshuffling the rankings globally is called the Google Dance.
