Which is important, page rank or alexa

I see that some consider page rank as not important while alexa is better. I'm confused here why they say page rank not matter when it is what google use for ranking. Which search engine own alexa and compare them, which is more important? Thx

I beleive page rank to be more important. Alexa is good for you to use to track how your site is doing but it doesn't help much to get you anywhere.

It is my understanding that Alexa Rank is worthless until you get in the top 100,000 spots. Other than that it is Page Rank that matters.

Depends on what you are looking at. Both are different in its own way. PR indicates how important your site is to google and depends on the amount of backlink it currently has. Alexa on the other shows what you traffic ranking is like. So the question of which one is more important is rather vague.

Thx for explain. I learn better now. I guess a lot of hard work need to be in before we can see result. I admire a lot of good website with good ranking. I hope I can get one someday

Yeah, it's difficult and challenging but nothing is impossible. As long as the right approach and method is used, I'm sure they will work out fine. Don't worry, it all depends on you.

Alexa ranking is improtant as the people who have the alexa bar (in the eyes of many people and companies) are the people who review products and sites so they tend to try and please the Alexa users. Fun really

For me. Both is important. Many people need both to know how good they site. So, if you like to have good page rank and alexa rank. Just do your work and try to get bette result.

If you notice, some SEO websites will argue that PR is not really important. Perhaps as long as with the amount of traffic you get, there's a good conversion rate to get your profit, that will be good enough. Certain sites may have high PR but the conversion rate isn't that good.

Alexa rating is not actually that important to the success of your online business.Alexa rating doesn’t guarantee traffic or sales, neither does a high PR.

Geee...I thought the traffic rating is a reflection of how much traffic that you get to your site. Although certain argument may say that PR is not important, I can agree on that but traffic rating is definitely important. Without traffic, there won't be any conversion.

Yap. Traffic is important thing for everything. If you not get any traffic and even you have high page rank. Its useless right? So far, even i have PR 0 at my blog, but my alexa rank are under 100k. I have many visitor and repeated visitor come everyday. Thats enough to me.
