Google Experimental Labs

Has anyone tried Google labs yet ? I accidently stumbled on it while searching for a book called the alchemist. To my pleasant surprise, I found that the search at the experimental labs picked it up as a book, and if you clicked on the book tab, it threw up a very specific search and the top ten results featured only the books with images!

I tried again and typed 'Like a Virgin', singer Madonna's popular song of yore and it again gave me another tab called videos. When I clicked it, the window split into two, the search results showed up on the left hand side while the video of the song opened up on the right hand side! I could watch the song straight away.

Google sure is coming up with very interesting ideas and I, for one, love their experimental labs.

This is Google's experimental playground for beta testing of products. Products that meet the cut soon graduated into the mainstream like GoogleMaps.

Yup....I like the concept that they introduced. It's a way for them to test out new product and at the same time continuously receive feedback from users so that they can improve on it.
