Default Glitch in Google Search Engine

Well, that explains why the traffic has not been usual for yesterday. Apparently there's a glitch in its security program that warned users that websites from all search results were potentially harmful and that lasted for almost an hour.

According to google spokesman, that was a plain human error.

Hey guys....apparently the glitch resulted from human error itself when the person who is supposed to add the reported harmful sites, accidentally entered the "/". Thus this means that every single websites are labeled as harmful.

Experts estimated that the loss in advertising revenue due to the error is in the realm of $2 to $3 million, again demonstrating the immense power of Google.

Wow....I wonder what the catastrophe would be like if it stretches more than an hour and beyond. Seriously I didn't notice about the error until this was reported on Sunday.

If Google goes out of service for more than a few hours, all hell will break lose. Sometimes I shudder to think of the great power vested in a company based in Mountain View CA!
