Default Former Googleers unveil Cuil, a new search engine

Well this one looks very promising....

It's a new SE which calls itself Cuil. Despite the claims, I just made a simple search for one of my established websites and it didn't show to appear in the index. Well....

Looks preety impressive. But I dont get rather like navigating through their results, I mean the two colums or 3 columns.

But then ther's a positive thing with it that the search comes up with lot of data and even pics.

Hey, it doesn't look like what it claims to be. Just type full page url for certain sites that you know and most of the time, there's no relevant search result that appear for it. Just try it and you will see what I mean.

Cuil.com claimed that it searches "more pages on the web than anyone else - 3 times as many as Google and 10 times as many as Microsoft."

Google has responded that it regularly scans 1 trillion unique websites but did not index them all because they either point to similar content or diminish the quality of its results. No mention of the size of Google's index.

Well obviously it looks a lot different compared to google. Maybe we can consider use this as an alternative when we really can't find what we are searching for. Maybe it will improve further...I hope.

Lol whats up with the search

It shows irrrelevent searches for most of the querries. That probably is the cause of of indexing 3 times as google

Google indexes, grades it and might be filters the unwaned stuff but when those steps are scipped might be this is what we get

Seems that Cuil may have oversold itself.

Hi, I agree... most of the time it shows irrelevant searches. Most of it, is about pages submitted to stumbleupon or diggs which I think should never have shown in the first page. The actual site should be placed importance instead.
