This would be really funny if google implement it as it would cause major upset with fake votes being spammed under different IP's by people trying to hit no1

Seems like google is always up to something new. I suppose they have to be though so that they don't end up being left behind someday. They want to be a leader, not a follower and so far it is working for them.

Google is very innovative, and maybe they want to invent a new system collaboration with digg for their website. I'm sure that would be cool.

I think if they really implement it, everybody will be going on a rat race to be the first on the list. Then you can always find people trying to get around the system and doing cheats. Don't be surprised to find people paying you to vote on their sites

Now that's interesting. Pay per vote. I wonder how much is the rate gonna be? One thing for sure, Google can make it happen in a short time, and maybe they will make several more invention in order to reach that goal.

So far no news or latest development heard on this yet. I think it's still in the designing stage and of course they would have thought of the issue to prevent cheating before they launch it. When you think of it, it's really exciting. Just imagine voting straight at the google search results.

If google want to keep at the forefront of SE use and business they need to actually think of new ideas and not sponge off of older companies or even newer companies... It shows that they dont care what they rip off as they think they can get away with it.

Well, somehow they are supposed going at doing that
Let's see the outcome whether they can improve it better or just blatant copying.

I mean dont get me wrong, if they could improve the service then it would be nice to see them work along side digg, not just rip off a idea which took ages to set up

Still cant help but think this is going to be really abused if it is implemented, SEO companies promising 4000 votes for you a day or something stupid lol, sounds weird but its easy to do with 5 computers on dynamic IP's (5 different ISP's)

Heh. That's cool. It would leave search results wide open for manipulation if they didn't implement it properly though...

And this is the main reason that even if they did implement it that they would have to stop it, people would be working 24/7 to find any gap to get in and change results or add to them.
Google should keep to what they know and stop trying to copy other companies... sorry rip them off

I'm sure there will be a lot of people trying to find the loophole. Maybe they will create a bots to vote for it. Who knows how things might change.
