Best Ad Placement
Maybe just to get you guy's opinion. Is there such a thing as best ad placement? Some would say that having ads blend together with your content is the best but I'm not convinced. Anyway I think the purpose that most people is doing that is because they are hoping that there might be accidental clicks happening. Well, it doesn't work anymore nowadays after google decrease the "count as click" region. How about top, bottom left or right? Mine is the same anyhow no matter where I place it.

Not quiet sure but people do say there are some targetted areas which get some good number of clicks. But it also depends on each ones experiences.
I rescently started using top and one similar to the menubar. Hoping to get some clicks.
Ya blending adds to get accidental clicks i think dosent work much now. What i used to do is use a skyscrapper near the scroll bar to get some accidental clicks but does not help much.
This time i hav totally changed the positions to see the results.

Well, another thing which I haven't try is that to put just about anywhere on the whole webpage. Top, bottom and either right or left including blend in as well. Would visitors that this guy is somehow "desperate"?

Seems like building a site on adsense adds.
By the way let me tell you that i read it somewhere that you can place only three adsense add widgets or boxes on one page. So you got to be careful about that too.

Yap. Be careful about that because if you put more, you already break their rules. Even you not get banned from that. Maybe you earning will down or got smart pricing. Also avoid copy and paste article if you don't want to get cut your earning.

The suggestion is sure worthwhile to try out. However, what interests me is that what's the logic on why certain location generate more compared to the rest? I think it must be because of human attention whereby we are more focused on ads at the middle of the screen. Am I right to say that?

Ya you are right. As per what i have seen is visiters preffer to concentrate on the centre of any page which is the mainplace for the matter or the content. After that may be any where else like links and other stuff.
And ofcourle there ould be very les people would be svrolling right down and seeing the footer adds
May be the footer can get you only impresions. I have kept image only add at the footer which may have chances of working.
Rest all depend on the visitors where they see and hat they want to click

Yap. You also can put at different places and always change it. You can monitor which one the best placement. Not only works with adsense, its also works with others PPC.

People usually don't take notice about the bottom ads unless of course the content is something really interesting. Do you notice as well? The ads place at the corner also is lowly ranked.

I i noticed that. I thought that it was a good area to place adds. I even had adds runniing there on my blog. But according to the blog it says that thats the least clicked area.
I felt that it would attract visitors attension due to the header

Best placements ive seen are normal under the latest post, if its a long post even better because as people are reading they will notice the add more and more as they get closer and more and more people click it.
This can be a problem if you are using something like Wordpress, I done it before but since the change of my sites layout I really cba to go into it and find the right piece of code again concidering my new template uses less files and works around longer scripts.
Still looks sexy :P
Best places:
Under your banner - First place people look
On the menu sidebar - Second place people look if going straight to a certain page
Under the latest post - for obvious reasons
