Its hard to get your site to become "famous", many people have been trying for years but it will never happen. Putting your site on these lists just gets your site noticed more.
The best way to get noticed is by appearing on a site like somethingawful.com but this in itself is almost impossible now a days and the visits might be for all the wrong reasons.
best thing to do is submit your site and then build up a reader base followed by exchanging links with other bloggers so you might get some of their traffic and they can get some of yours
