Yes even i have noticed that a couple of times. Its because of all those freebie scripts and selling of scripts. People dont kno what it is how it works and ether it shows any correct results?
They just buy it from somewhere and get it implemented to their site.
I generally use smartpagerank. Could you confirm with it too if there are any differences as compared to the toolbar?
Does the toolbar show backlinks and other details too?
