I know what you mean because I must have read hundreds of sites myself on how to make money and there must be thousands other newbies like me who do that everyday. The only thing I haven't done is put in my money anywhere because I've always believed that you can't make huge amount of cash in few days, and most sites tout that. Most of them are scams anyways. But the hope that you may find that proverbial needle in the haystack, makes you look and look and thats why people like johnchow and other similar sites make huge cash.
