Some of the top names like facebook, friendster and myspace don't need that sort of "pay to join thing" to survive. Look at how successful they are today.

Yes I completely agree with Hwang. It really dissappoints when any site claims to pay and then never pays. So instead of creating false hopes in the minds of newbies they should try to establish themselves as a full fleged social netorking site.
